Shilah Montiel recently graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Art History. During her time at CSULB, she worked at the campus newspaper "The Daily 49er". While working at the 49er, she won Best Feature Photo in 2012 and 2013 at the California College Media Association competition. In 2013, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at CSULB awarded her with an award in Professional Promise in Photography. Shilah currently resides in Whittier, California and works at Fox Sports as a Photo Editor and freelances for the OC Register and LA News Group.
